Are your hearing aids muted?

Check whether you have accidentally muted your hearing aids with the Bernafon App, a remote control, or a SoundClip-A.

Is there a power problem?

If your hearing aids have disposable batteries:

  • Check the batteries are inserted the right way round
  • Check the battery doors are closed completely
  • Check the batteries have some charge
  • Clean the battery contacts inside the hearing aids carefully
  • Clean the surface of the batteries with a dry cloth

If your hearing aids have rechargeable batteries:

Are the earpieces clogged up?

Check the earpieces for dirt, and clean or replace them if necessary.

Is the wax filter full of earwax?

Check and replace the wax filter if necessary.

Is there moisture in your hearing aids?

Dry your hearing aids by placing them in a dryer or an airy place.

If your hearing aids have disposable batteries, remove them and leave the battery drawers open.

Replace the batteries with new ones.

Is there earwax blocking your ear canal?

Clean your ears to ensure there isn’t a build-up of wax. If you are in doubt, consult your hearing care professional.
